Why self improvement is important
Lots of people have dreams, ambitions or goals but do not know how to go about achieving them. They think about what would constitute the self improvements and their ideal life, however they have no idea how to even begin to make plans and take the actions required to make them a reality. They believe that if only they had a better job, or had been given better opportunities, or met the love of their life, everything would be fine and they would be happy. They feel that their happiness or lack thereof is decided by external factors and their thoughts and actions are of little consequence.
Lots of people believe that if they only had more resources, if they had more money or more of whatever they already have, things would make it much better on their way to self improvement. Other people do not really know what they want and may even have little idea what would really makes them happy. They seem to just drift from day to day, week to week, month to month, and year to year, and do little more than just about get by. Other people place their self improvements in the hands of some external (or higher power) power. They believe if they only lived their life a certain way, this higher power would improve them in all other aspects of life.
